Last night I met my absolute hero, Jason Butler of letlive. in Nashville at The American Dream Tour. I don’t have a huge sappy story about meeting him, but I had been waiting YEARS to meet him, and I finally did. I couldn’t get my words out so I sounded ridiculous and couldn’t tell him everything I wanted to, but I got out that I had loved his music and the way he is as a person for a very long time and that he really inspired me and I appreciated him. After everything I said he gave me a hug, so I got 3 incredible hugs from my hero. He also told me that he appreciated me and everything I had to say. Jason is the kindest, most gentle, genuine, and humble man I’ve ever met. He goes insane on stage but when you get the chance to talk to him, he is such an intelligent and caring person. If you ever have the chance to see letlive. live, please go see them, it will change your outlook on music and the people making it.
Jason Butler’s reaction to the crowd during ‘Muther’
"I hit puberty at a young age, and it was always something I was very adverse to. I always wanted to be a Disney star but it took over, so I’m here now and I’m just lettin’ it be. So, it’s a lot easier. Also, I tried to star in Monsters Inc. as the Abominable Snowman but the Abominable Snowman, he uh, he actually got the part. I think it was a race thing…you can’t fuck with that."
